The open world

• Eight new towns the Gospels name: Magdala, Tiberias, Bethsaida, Chorazin, Nain, Bethphage, Ephraim and the plain of Gennesaret, on a map drawn closer to the real land.
• Sixteen jobs from the Bible to do between chapters, like gleaning like Ruth, drawing water at Jacob's well or salting fish in Magdala. Earn bronze, silver or gold and get paid in denarii. Some jobs are only for certain characters.
• Real roads to travel, climbs that leave you out of breath, viewpoints on the mountains, and small kindnesses to do for people you meet on the way.
• New lands open in free roam as the story reaches them.
• While you roam, choose Play as someone else in the pause menu to be anyone you've been in the story.
• The title screen shows the game's version, with a link to report a bug.
• A few spoken lines re-recorded so every word comes through clearly.

The Nazareth years

• New at the start of chapter 4: the Nazareth years. Jesus comes home from the Temple with Mary and Joseph, listens in the synagogue on the Sabbath, and works at Joseph's carpenter's bench as he grows from twelve to about thirty (Luke 2:51-52, Luke 3:23).
• A smoother camera in story scenes: it turns to whoever is speaking and eases back to you afterwards.
• A clear Pause button.
• Menus, cards and the scripture box fit on one phone screen, and My Book lists everything in story order.
• Saved games now carry a version number, so every update reads your progress forward and never resets it.

First public beta

• Twenty-one chapters of Jesus' life in order, from the shepherds' fields to the Ascension, with every line of scripture spoken aloud from the World English Bible.
• Play the people who were there: a shepherd, a wise man, Joseph, Simon of Cyrene, Mary Magdalene, Cleopas and Jesus himself.
• A mini-game in every chapter, plus parables to play and bonus chapters.
• An open land to roam between chapters: ride a donkey, sail and fish on the Sea of Galilee, and find 30 hidden scrolls.
• My Book collects the people you meet, the places you find and the stars you earn.
• Up to eight players on one device, each with their own saved progress.
• Plays in the browser on phones, tablets and computers.

Your progress is kept. Updates never reset saved games. Progress is saved on the device and browser you play on, so keep using the same one.
