Hosanna means “save us.” The crowds shouted it as Jesus rode down the Mount of Olives into Jerusalem. That road is where his journey led, and the same mountain is where it ends, as he is taken up into heaven.

What you'll do

Step inside the Gospel story

Twenty-one chapters follow Jesus' life in order, from the shepherds' fields on the night he was born to the Ascension. You play the people who were there: a shepherd, a wise man, Joseph, Simon of Cyrene, Mary Magdalene, and Jesus himself.

Every line comes straight from the Gospels in the World English Bible, with the verse shown on screen. Each person has their own voice, and the story keeps moving while you walk and listen.

An open world to explore

Roam Bethlehem, Nazareth, the Jordan River, the shores of Galilee and the streets of Jerusalem, and towns the Gospels name like Magdala, Bethsaida and Nain. Take on jobs from the Bible for bronze, silver or gold, find 30 hidden scrolls of scripture, ride a donkey, sail and fish on the sea.

Bring the flock home, cast the net, fill the water pots, bail out the boat in the storm and gather the leftover pieces. Short, fun and never a fail screen.

Getting started

  1. Tap Play free now. The first load takes a minute while the world arrives.
  2. On a phone or tablet, turn the screen sideways. The left thumb walks and the right thumb looks around.
  3. On a computer, use the W A S D keys to walk and the mouse to look.
  4. Your place is saved automatically, and updates never reset it. Come back on the same device and browser and choose Continue.
  5. On an iPhone or iPad, open the game, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen before you start. It plays full screen, and Safari can clear a website’s saved progress if it isn’t opened for a week or more.
